Halloween is right around the corner. There will be partys, costumes and lot of fun, so come and check out all the papers and embellishments that will enchance your pages and create some wonderful memories.

Of course the Store will have a halloween crop on October 28, and 29th.

Come check out all the new embellishments and papers, and rubber stamps that you can use to create some awesome layouts or cards. Below you will find just a few sheets of paper that is in stock. The techniques
Faux Leather and Faux Metal

using a versa pad, embossing powder, heat gun.

The first project was faux leather where the ladies each created a small paper purse, that could be used as a minin album. The second technique they made acard using the faux metal technique.

FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER - Sign up will close on Saturday, September 25, 2010 and cards are due Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Bring your cards to the store on or before Tuesday, October 26, they will be sorted and ready for pick up on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER - Sign up will close on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and cards are due Friday, November 26, 2010. Bring your cards to the store on or before Friday, November 26, they will be sorted and ready for pick up on Saturday November 27, 2010.

10 people to a group. (Multiple groups will be formed if we have more than 10 people)

Card size: minimum size 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, can be larger, must include an envelope with each card.

Embellishments: Please use at least two types on your cards ie: inking, chalking, charms, stamping, etc.

Label each baggie with your name and group number.

Girlfriend Album Class

On Saturday, September 4, 2010 the Girlfriend Album class was held. Zee, Roni and Maleta with their completed album. That day Zee (9/2) and Roni (9/9) were surprise with a birthday surprise by one of their fellow scrappers.

For the Labor Day crop there was 10 ladies in attendance. At the end of the night Patty (Paper Piecing Patty), taught the ladies how to make a paper flower.

Friendzee Card Swappers & Pajama Jam 24 hour crop

Earlier that morning the Friendzee Card Swappers met at the store to exchange cards and work on 4 shoebox card kits.

At the Pajama Jam they played a Saints Bingo Game and Roni was the winner of a gift certificate. The Creative Juices group was also at the store and they stayed for the 24 hour Pajama Jam.

PAJAMA JAM

Our first "Pajama Jam" is approaching and we would like for you to join us!
You might be wondering what a "Pajama Jam" is? Well ladies, a "Pajama Jam" is a 24 hour crop! That's right, 24 hours! So come dressed in your PJ's and be ready to get some scrappin' done. It will begin Saturday at 5 p.m. and will end Sunday at 5 p.m.

The Cost is $20 which will include a reserved spot for you to crop, drinks, snacks, and Sunday breakfast.

No need to worry about missing the Saint's game. We will have the game on for all you Saint's fans!

Don't think you can hang for 24 hours? No problem. You are welcome to leave your scrappin' supplies here while you go get some rest. Feel free to come and go as you please.

Recipe Swap

Scrappin Friendzee offers a monthly recipe swap. Each month is a swap based on a different topic. (ex. deserts, vegetables, soups, etc.) Recipes are turned into the store once a month on a due date and distrubuted and picked up the next day.

How does the recipe swap work? Recipes are done on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet, each recipe needs to have an embellishment and your name placed on it. We are in groups of 10 so you need 10 recipes the exact same and then the recipes are swapped you get 1 of your own and 9 different other recipes. It is alot of fun and the collection of recipes are great!

If anyone is interested in joining our monthly recipe swap please call the store as we will be forming new groups soon.

Scrappin Packin Momma Meeting/Jenny's Baby Shower

On Saturday, July 17 the Scrappin Packin Mommas had their monthly meeting with a theme "Baby Shower" one of our members "Spicy Momma" Jenny recently gave birth to a baby girl. The members of the group were asked to make scrapbook layouts for the baby's scrapbook. We also played BINGO and Barbara "Stitchin Momma" won. Also we had to guess how many Q-tips were stuffed into a baby bottle and "Momma 411" won that game. Congratulations Jenny you have such a beautiful baby girl.

A paper flower

On Thursday, July 8, 2010 the make n take was a paper flower made from a stripe of paper. On the right edge of the paper you want to cut at an angle. Then take a border punch and punch across the length of the paper. Now you are ready to fold it in a circle. The wider the paper the larger the flower. You could use two different width and then layer to form the flower. You will want to use a tacky glue to hold the flower together. Then layer your flower and add a button and scrapper floss or a brad.

It's a friday night and you will find quite a few ladies in attendance working on layouts, cards or just socializing. We even had a lady all the way from Katy, Texas to join in on all the fun on a Friday night. Welcome Patty Provance. Jackie tryed a little something different at this crop and offered a free Make N Take. It was a beach tag and several techniques were used cricut cut outs, muddle puddles, tearing and etc. At the end of the night whoever was still there, she put their name in a cup and drew 3 names and the lucky winners for the 3 door prizes were: Paula, Laurie, and Alex .
